Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Rust Atomic (the "Site"), including the forum, store, support tickets, member messaging, and any associated Rust game server(s) (the "Service"). By creating an account or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are under 18, you should have a parent or guardian's permission to use the Service. By registering, you confirm that the information you provide (including your email address) is accurate.

2. Accounts

You're responsible for keeping your password secure and for all activity that happens under your account. Let us know right away (via a support ticket) if you suspect unauthorized access. We offer optional two-factor authentication in Account Settings — we recommend enabling it, especially if you hold a staff or admin role.

Accounts are personal to you. Don't share, sell, or transfer your account to someone else.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Harass, threaten, or abuse other members or staff, on the forum, in tickets, in messages, or in-game.
• Cheat, exploit bugs, or use unauthorized third-party software on the game server.
• Post illegal content, spam, or content that infringes someone else's rights.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Site, other accounts, or the underlying server infrastructure.
• Impersonate staff or another member, or misrepresent your affiliation with Rust Atomic.

Staff may warn, suspend, or ban accounts that violate these Terms or any posted server/community rules, at their discretion. Moderation actions and reasoning are logged internally.

4. User Content

You keep ownership of anything you post (forum threads/replies, profile bio, ticket messages, direct messages). By posting it, you give Rust Atomic a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, store, and moderate that content as part of operating the Service — for example, showing your posts to other members, or a staff member quoting your message while resolving a ticket. We can remove content that violates these Terms.

5. Atomic Coins (Virtual Currency)

Atomic Coins are a virtual currency usable only within the Site (e.g., to purchase cosmetic items or membership tiers). Coins have no real-world monetary value, cannot be exchanged for cash, are non-transferable between accounts, and may be adjusted or removed by staff — including as a consequence of a Terms violation. We can change how Coins are earned or what they can be spent on at any time.

6. Real-Money Purchases

VIP, VIP+, and MVP membership tiers can also be purchased with real money through PayPal. Payments are processed by PayPal — Rust Atomic does not see or store your card or PayPal account credentials.

All sales are final. Because purchases grant a digital perk immediately (a role, badge, or in-game benefit), we don't offer refunds except where required by law. If something went wrong with a purchase (e.g., a payment was charged but the perk wasn't granted), open a support ticket under Store & Billing and we'll sort it out.

We can change prices, tiers, or what a tier includes going forward; this doesn't affect perks you've already been granted.

7. Termination

We can suspend or terminate your account for violating these Terms, at our discretion, with or without notice. You can stop using the Service at any time; to request your account or data be deleted, open a support ticket (see also our Privacy Policy).

8. Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee the game server or Site will be available at all times, free of bugs, or free of data loss. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Rust Atomic isn't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including loss of virtual currency, items, or account access.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Service will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Pennsylvania.

10. Not Affiliated with Facepunch

Rust Atomic is an independently-operated community and game server. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Facepunch Studios, the developer of Rust. "Rust" is a trademark of Facepunch Studios.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when that happens.
